Purdue Extension is pleased to offer Navigating Difference, an intensive cultural competency training, on April 30-May 2, 2019. This is a professional development workshop for those who work across diversity in communities and want to improve their intercultural effectiveness. (It is not a train-the-trainer to learn to teach the program to others.)
The 3-day workshop will be held at Spring Mill Inn, 3333 State Road 60 East, Mitchell, IN 47446-0068.
Workshop dates and times are:
Tuesday, April 30, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM Eastern with homework in the evening
Wednesday, May 1, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM Eastern with homework in the evening
Thursday, May 2, 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM Eastern
The cost of the workshop is $300.00. (Payment is not required at time of registration.) Lunch and materials will be provided all three days of the workshop. Lodging is not included in this fee. Please make your hotel reservations separately with Spring Mill Inn at https://www.in.gov/dnr/parklake/inns/springmill/, or call 877-LODGES-1. A block of rooms has been reserved that includes single or double-occupancy options for 2 or 3 nights. Please use the group code 0430PE when reserving a room.
When planning your travel to the workshop and Mitchell, Indiana, please note that Mitchell is on Eastern Standard Time
Please register by Friday, April 19, 2019. Space is limited. Once capacity is reached, registration for the workshop will be closed.
